ITMU
Establishment of Intellectual Property Management Unit of CAZRI marked the beginning of IPR regime primarily focusing towards management of IPR portfolio and transfer/commercialization of technologies at institute level. An attempt has been made for promotion of creation, dissemination, use and protection of intellectual property for socio-economic prosperity.
- Proper implementation of ICAR guidelines for IP management and technology transfer/ commercialization
- Increase awareness and enhancing literacy for IPR and capacity building
- Recognition of inventors/innovators who need to be suitably rewarded for their ingenuity
- Existing technology improvement for production of newer/cheaper/better products
- New technology evaluation and screening
- Overcome barriers to commercialization
- Progression towards effective technology transfer from lab - to - industry
- Foster entrepreneurship and empower small and medium enterprises with IP asset accumulation, management and use
- Need to strengthen the technological capacity to get the best benefit
